MMRGlobal Takes To The Airwaves Again

I like hearing from our stockholders and others interested in the Company. One individual who writes me on occasion and regularly writes about the Company under the “handle” Threeflight, sent me the following on Monday this week:

“Bob,

I want you to know I think that overall, you have done a wonderful job there at MMRF. You are probably the CEO I respect the most of any OTC CEO I know, and for sure you are in the top echelon of all CEO’s I know, including the big board CEO’s. I sincerely mean that. Same goes for you as a person. I would consider it a privilege to buy you a beer and talk about the wonderfulness that is MMRF.

 Best of luck.”

Although his comments are greatly appreciated I realize that Threeflight may not agree with all my decisions. However it’s hard work building a company from the ground up in this difficult economic time. Meanwhile we are fortunate to be in a space where our Personal Health Records products could become a way of life as Obamacare rolls out over the next several years.

Today we will announce that we are expanding our advertising and promotion activities not only on TV, in tonight’s Hallmark Channel Special “The Spirit of Mississippi,” telecast at 6 pm, EST, and during the Labor Day weekend we will have launched a Listener Loyalty Radio Program with Clear Channel Communications to 75% of the 18+ U.S. population, via more than 800 radio stations reaching more than 97 million listeners every week. Listeners will be directed to MMR’s website to take advantage of the Company’s end of summer Labor Day promotion of a 30-day trial offer and  $25 toward a new subscriber’s next visit with their doctor (www.mmrvideos.com).

Clearly, promotions and advertising take money, which has a lot to do with the decisions management makes on a daily basis. Without access to capital a Company simply cannot grow and compete in a competitive marketplace. If you still have not signed up for your own Personal Health Record, this would be an ideal time. So visit MyMedicalRecords at www.mymedicalrecords.com and “Listen Up”, as they say, and thank you for your interest in and support of MMRGlobal.com. Happy Labor Day!

Red Eye to Chicago……….

I just finished the first round of meetings after last nights red eye to Chicago. I made it to the hotel at 6:30AM and by the time this gets posted I will be deep in the middle of presenting MMRPro to a hospital representing over 500 doctors.

Tomorrow I will depart Chicago and head off to Kodak headquarters in Rochester to begin plans for an official rebranding of a special MMRGlobal version of Kodak’s ScanStation 520 and CapturePro software being developed exclusively for use with MMRPro.

We are planning on introducing the new MMRPro system later this year where it will be featured as a new Kodak SKU. Ultimately this will make it easier for MMR to distribute its products and services through the Kodak distributor and re-seller channel. We will soon announce the first specific distribution agreement with Kodak’s larger customers and we look forward to continuing our participation with Kodak at trade shows throughout the coming year.
After a busy two days in Rochester I will spend Friday in New York with Chartis. We will continue our efforts to launch our products to Chartis affiliates such as TravelGuard within the US and Canada. These are markets that are not included in our existing worldwide agreement with Chartis. I will say that penetrating the insurance industry is like swimming into the bow of a battleship. However slow and steady, we continue to make progress while plans to brand and translate MyEsafeDepositBox are in the works as part of our existing Chartis International agreement.
Many of you are aware that I have been CEO of Lorsch Creative Network (LCN) which was one of the largest sales promotion agencies in the US. LCN created Information Access Advertising in the 80’s and represented both Airtouch, now Verizon for more than a decade, after which I founded SmarTalk, ultimately retiring to a career of philanthropy until 2005 when MyMedicalRecords was founded.

Starting in the fall and throughout 2011, I plan on leveraging that decade of agency relationships and more than 20 years of friendships to bring our consumer and patented emergency products to cellular handsets everywhere.

And if all this is not enough to keep the team at MMR busy, there continues to be exciting things happening with our biotech assets. Stay tuned…….

What you resist you are stuck with.

As I talk to the MMR shareholders who call me on a daily basis, I am reminded how important all of you are and how much I appreciate all the support you have shown the Company over the past 18 months. Clearly, you believe in the Company and our team.

However, some of you spend your time commenting adversely about the Company and its management for vetted decisions that are designed to move the Company forward for the benefit of all Shareholders, management and employees, including our largest shareholder, who is The RHL Group and I.

Recently, many of these comments focused on the Dutchess transaction.  I do not understand the motivation. However, the Company has responded to all shareholder calls about Dutchess by explaining the transaction and referring shareholders to Dutchess to get a feel for their incentives directly, yet there have been no calls to Dutchess that I know of. By resisting the inevitable we are stuck with what we have. By rowing in the same direction we all prosper by getting to the finish line as one.

Reading the news these days, one can come to the conclusion that the sky is falling. The employment figures still lag in what is supposed to be a recovery in the U.S. financial markets, real estate continues to spiral down and retail sales are sluggish at best.

However, despite the instability in the markets I see that MMRGlobal is in an marketplace that favors growth and is driven by regulations that mandate expansion of our industry.  As always, I believe MMRGlobal is in the right place at the right time.

The digitization of critical documents, whether medical, financial, business or estate related continues to increase. In the event of a disaster such as the current oil well blowout in the Gulf, or a fire, flood or earthquake, having an Esafe with documents necessary to make a disaster claim could be the difference between an individual’s or an employer’s ability to get relief or get nothing.

MMRGlobal’s prospects are also tied to a continued drive by governments around the world to digitize medical records, including the United States, European nations and Asia, most notably China and India, to provide better healthcare at low costs. MMRGlobal is positioned to benefit from this initiative.

Despite all the opportunities in Health IT, I (like many of you) have watched the Company’s stock price suffer from Global Market activity. Since many of us are in the same boat and on the same team, why not row our paddles in the same direction.

In the U.S., the Obama Administration’s path to full medical digitization is vigorously underway. I was very encouraged by the interest in Personal Health Records shown by the response to our television commercial that ran during the Daytime Emmy Awards June 27th on CBS.  The Company converted more than 20 percent of all visitors to its website to an e-mail address and more than 5 percent to paid accounts despite a 30-day free trial offered. MMRGlobal is planning on continued exploitation its commercial advertising on the Web and in direct marketing materials through its agreement with E-Mail Frequency.

If  you are interested in rowing in the same direction, sign up for an MMR Account today using registration code Emmy. Send Investor Relations proof of your account and we will send you a paddle with an MMRGlobal logo so you can row upstream with us through this very exciting time.

LIVE FROM AFTER THE FLIGHT HOME AFTER THE DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS

I just landed back in Los Angeles. If you missed the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards telecast last Sunday night it was a spectacular event. Thousands of people lined the driveway into the Las Vegas Hilton, where limos brought nominees and celebrity guests to the black tie extravaganza. Flashes from hundreds of cameras lit up the Red Carpet. Many of the celebrities were in residence at the hotel. They were escorted through an aisle-way in the hotel lobby surrounded by nearly a thousand hotel guests and hotel employees where they intersected and merged into one line with the other celebrities arriving by limo. Then they were all were escorted onto the Red Carpet for interviews and photos. The worldwide entertainment press was out in full force with dozens of television crews and hundreds of photographers. All you could see (and hear) were screaming crowds as their favorite performers arrived.

Out on the street, where it was 102 degrees in the shade, fans six deep kept up their shouts, for Ryan Seacrest, Ronn Moss, the casts of Lion King and Cirque du Soleil, Tony Orlando, Kelly Monaco, Regis Philbin and Rachel Ray (to name just a few of the biggies), who passed through the crowd while security escorted millions of dollars worth of jewelry and gowns that adorned Marie Osmond, Susan Lucci, and other beautiful and talented divas of daytime who made their way into the showroom. Erik Estrada received an especially warm welcome dressed as Highway Patrolman Ponch, as did Montel Williams, Chubby Checker and, of course, Dick Clark, whose tribute was touching and well-deserved. If you can find it on the internet I recommend you watch it.

One of the best parts of the show was during the tribute to Dick Clark and American Bandstand when Chubby Checker sang The Twist. Everyone in the house stood up and danced. I have never experienced something like that at any concert or event. As I understand it, the same happened around the world and efforts are being made to ask Guinness World Records to record a new record for the number of people twisting to Chubby Checker at the same time.

It was serendipitous for MMRGlobal to be a sponsor of the show with two Emmys going to medical programs: “The Doctors” for Best Informative Talk Show and to Dr. Oz, who got Best Talk Show Host. Clearly MMR is in the right space at the right time and in the best of company. It was a great show. I am proud that Kira and I were part of it and MMR was a sponsor. Two sensational After-Parties later I finally got Kira to get off the dance floor about 3AM. The rest stays in Vegas.

The Future of Healthcare starts here today……..

This coming Sunday many of you will watch the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on CBS. It is the first time an Emmy award show will be broadcast live from Las Vegas Nevada. Despite my 60 to 80 hour weeks working for MMRGlobal I found a few minutes this year at the RHL Group to help package this show. As a result I am one of the show’s Executive Producers.

Given the awareness of Obamacare and the growing interest in having a personal health record I negotiated a significant portion of fees that would otherwise have been paid to the RHL Group away in order to debut MMR as a national advertiser and sponsor of this 2 hour prime time program which is projected to reach as many as seven million people this Sunday night. This campaign is not free but it is necessary if MMRGlobal wants to be a leader in Global health care.

Recently GE has emerged as a major advertiser with their Healthymagination campaign. GE created Healthymagination to gather, share and discuss healthy ideas. about how one can make a difference in their future.

MMR’s campaign is entitled “The Future of Your Health at Work Today.”  At MMRGlobal we will begin the task of educating consumers on how they can make a difference in their future by having a Personal Health Record today.

This campaign will start on CBS and expand to multiple forms of media. It is shot with Kira and Mark as two separate spots that over time are intended to educate the public on why they need a PHR and encourage them to try it. Although we are very excited about this opportunity to brand MMR (like everything else) it takes time.

MMRGlobal believes that it has access to one of the biggest (if not the biggest) user bases of any personal health record in the world. The intent of this campaign is to begin the long process of making sure as many people as reasonably possible get exposed to the Company. We will start Sunday night.

What many of you do not know about MMR is that there is a team that works very hard for MMR to get things done for the benefit of shareholders. All members of this team are stakeholders in the Company. That’s why Kira created this spot last week. Eric and Christie worked from last Thursday nearly 48 hours straight to shoot, edit and post the spot internally. My friend Joel Sill (check him out) got the music written and the spot musically scored while Eric and Christie were doing the post production. And Bobbie hung around all weekend with me approving frame by frame as the spot came together. This is an effort that happens because we want to make MMRGlobal a significant part of the Future of Healthcare starting today.

Show your family you care and if you haven’t already, sign up for an MMR account today. Personally I hope you never need it. However if you do, you will be glad you have it.

Here is your sneak preview of the Future of Your Health at Work Today.

Thoughts For Today………….

Today as I prepare for MMR’s shareholder meeting, I think about the things I want to communicate to those who will attend, and those who cannot be there in person and I am filled with enthusiasm.  I started this company because of my personal experiences and my belief that the technologies we offer represent a piece of the future of healthcare.

I truly believe that having a personal health record will be as important to daily life as having a credit report. With the passage “Obama Care”, more than 30 million more Americans will be added to the government’s insurance plan.  As a result of the escalating costs of healthcare coverage, many of those will come from existing coverage’s abandoned by employers.

That means that millions will be forced to find new doctors and care providers at great personal expense.  Those costs will be significantly reduced when a person maintains a personal health record, which will eliminate the need to pay for work-ups and care that has already been provided by other treating physicians.

When I was in China, negotiating the agreements with Unis to create a joint venture to provide electronic medical records with an MMR personal health record inside, I saw proof that personal health records represent a worldwide phenomenon based on the need to reduce medical costs everywhere in the world, providing tools so insureds can take advantage of “tourist medicine”, enabling anyone to get cost effective treatment anywhere in the world. As a Company that through its agreement with Chartis International has the opportunity to provide personal health records to as many as 40 million subscribers in 160 countries, MMR demonstrates further the recognition of the importance of having a personal health record in our lives.

This coming October, plans are in the works to be in India with our technology partner, Nihilent, In India, to introduce our personal and professional products and services in a country estimated to represent over a billion citizens.

To support this growth and help insure a leadership position in this global marketplace we are aggressively perusing additional strategic partnerships with financial institutions including credit unions, banks, and other large population membership organizations worldwide. At the same time we plan on securing necessary funding to grow our business while we recruit personal to support that growth.

We are working with consultants and company advisors to exploit the value of our biotech assets, which we acquired through our merger with Favrille, in January 2009, and we are taking the steps reasonably possible to protect these assets around the world. We are proud that our assets might in some way contribute to finding a cure for specific cancers and other devastating diseases. Today we will celebrate our name change to MMRGlobal at www.mmrglobal.com, which will continue to result in an extensive upgrade to our websites where consumers and doctors can watch specially targeted videos to familiarize themselves with our products and the Company. All in all, I see a future filled with opportunity driven in part by a global shift in healthcare accountability for the millions of people around the world who understand the importance of new tools to protect themselves and their families.

Is the cup half full or is the cup half empty?

I have a 30 year old Styrofoam cup in my dressing cabinet. No one sees it but me and I look at it almost every day. It holds my collars stays (the little plastic things to keep my shirts from being crumpled) and it has a line in blue ink around the middle. When I was in my 30’s I participated in a program called Lifespring.

During one of my more intense Lifespring trainings Jack Zwissig, then the trainer and today an MMR Board Member gave me that cup. I think I paid $1500 for it at the time never realizing how valuable it would become. Jack handed me the empty Styrofoam coffee cup asking what did I see? I answered what any reasonable person would answer “a cup”. Then he drew the line around the cup and asked…..is this cup half full or half empty? And that’s where the story begins and why I think look at and think about that cup almost every day.

So today I reached for my cup and I found this link, it tells readers that MMR should be viewed as one of the top five companies to watch in health care today, http://www.prweb.com/releases/2010/05/prweb4031374.htm , Now you might ask what does my Styrofoam cup have to do with being one of the top five companies to watch in healthcare technology in 2010? Simply put to me it means “half full” and continuing on our way.

When I look at my 30 year old dog-eared cup I always see it “half full” and I remember that day at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel when Jack gave it to me. The memories that make up our life are the most valuable treasures we own. I have lots of stuff but very little as important as that cup (and the harmonica swizzle stick whistles I played with growing up at my grandparents house).

The point of this blog is to is to get you to make your own cup. All you need is a Styrofoam cup and a blue pen. Draw a line around the middle of the cup and think about how you will go about the decisions in your life today. Will you come from your cup being half full or half empty? I always look at my cup as half full even when I feel a little empty. That how I remind myself of all life’s daily opportunities specifically MMR as all of you know by now which takes up the majority of my life.

Many of you have helped make the Institute for Health Technology Transformation prediction possible and to all who did and will continue to help make it happen as customers, followers and shareholders thank-you.

Over the past week it became obvious how important it was for me to always look at my cup as half full. The half full cup reminds me of the many adversities that have come and gone in my life that would have been so much more challenging if my cup were half empty. It also reminded me of all the opportunities that lie ahead. It reminded me to focus on what is in the cup, not what was missing from the cup. And most importantly it reminds me to come from abundance and not scarcity.

I would hate to spend my day focusing on telling people why they will fail. I would rather enjoy coming from abundance. To many people come from a focus on scarcity and as such miss abundance.

Having a half full cup always around reminds me to focus on keeping it full rather than worrying about what its missing. So with that I think I’ll go find some customers to fill my cup and do my part to make sure the Institute gets to be right.

First I think I’ll get a Starbucks.

When you resist you are stuck with what you have……….

One of the lines that guide my day-to-day decision-making is “What you resist you are stuck with”. To me that means that when I resist change I am stuck with what I have. Over the past several days many of those reading this blog are stuck, and apparently want to stay stuck with what they have because they will not step “out of the box” and take advantage of the unique opportunity that have been and will continue to be placed in front of them. In this case I am specifically referring to MMR.

Several times over the past few months many of you have seen (and participated in) an exciting run up in MMRF share prices. In fact I am proud of the fact that MyMedicalRecords.com in just 15 months of operating as a public company has accomplished what it has. However in order to be successful and achieve greatness you cannot stand on the sidelines and watch, or pick up your chips because you believe something to good to be true, or even in some cases destroy the game because you have a need to be right.

On April 11 Business week quoted an article in Health Daily News which reminded us that “We are in the early days of electronic health record adoption” and suggesting again that there is still a long way to go in this very exciting trillion dollar market of health IT.

This is the place where MMR lives on a day-to-day basis. Therefore it baffles me as to why a very few who are scared to step out of the box and go to the next level seem to have the need to stay “Stuck where they are”.

As a person who has already created a one billion dollar company from a five thousand dollar investment and hundreds of millions of dollars of wealth for many, I recognize the barriers that are placed in front of me when they rear their ugly head. It is sometimes very difficult to break through those barriers which are erected by others who won’t step out of the box because of fear, or even worse the need to be right. Nothing has changed since the letter the Company published to shareholders this last Monday.

Many of you have speculated that I am full of surprises. And I can assure you I am. However I will not publish “surprises” until they are “signed, sealed and delivered”. MMR appreciates your enthusiasm and support of the Company and we appreciate your willingness to step out of the box and believe in us whether you are a user, customer, employee, shareholder or friend.

I need to sign off and go back to work now. I am working on the creation of a 2nd billion-dollar company. However, because I do not want to be stuck with what I already have, this morning I will convert another $200,000 of MMR debt due The RHL Group into equity which will add another million plus shares to my existing 60 million plus share holdings. The Form 4 will be filed today.

Last, to those of you who contact me and ask what’s happening to the company’s stock price I wish I could say I knew. However, the only thing I really know is that the opportunities ahead are still in front of us and every day the landscape gets more exciting. I appreciate all of you for your friendship and support so the best thing that I can do is to get to work and make things happen by stepping way “out of the box”.

Greetings from the other side of the world.

Greetings from the other side of the world. Today will be the last day of the first work week of our Chartis International tour. Reception to MMR as an integrated policy benefit is very good. Today I have meetings scheduled at 2 locations about 150 miles apart. Doug Helm and I will meet with teams representing Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, to name a few. The good news about these types of trips is I never know when to be awake or when to sleep so that lets me work nearly 20 hours a day for you. Dubai was fascinating. Although my trip there was exploratory the potential for the region is very exciting. I was very impressed with the development and I saw more cranes in 1 day than I have ever seen in my life. Special thanks to our friends Sandi and Bruce Garrett at GRS. While I was traveling the company reached an agreement with sanofi-aventis through their good efforts. I hope to share more with you about the Chartis meetings as they develop. By the way, MMRPro is evolving faster than I am moving around the world. New features such as international outbound fax for ex-pats were added today and the ability to add patient calendar reminders will be added next month. Well its 4:30 AM and I a being picked up in 45 minutes so I have to sign off now.
